The Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading global digital investor communications platform that provides Proxy Voting and Shareholder Disclosure services to financial institutions worldwide. Originally developed within a major financial institution, the platform is transforming capital markets through innovative, secure, and compliant technology solutions.

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of a mission-critical financial platform. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced delivery environments, has exceptional attention to detail, and enjoys working closely with Product, Operations, and Engineering teams.

You will take ownership of end-to-end testing activities across complex releases, validate business-critical workflows, identify defects early in the development lifecycle, and help drive continuous improvements to QA processes and release quality. In this model the QA Engineer is a peer of the Software Engineer and the Product Manager, not a downstream tester. They shape the specification so that it can be tested, set the test strategy, challenge whether the automated tests prove the requirements, and give the final testing sign-off before release.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead manual and automation testing activities across new feature development, enhancements, and platform releases.
• Analyse business and functional requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Validate complex workflows, data processing, and business-critical financial transactions.
• Identify, document, reproduce, and track defects using JIRA and other defect management tools.
• Perform detailed regression testing ahead of major deployments and releases.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Provide clear and consistent reporting on testing progress, risks, and release readiness.
• Assist with release documentation, user manuals, and client-facing release notes.
• Support QA process improvements and contribute to establishing best practices across the team.
• Mentor junior QA team members and promote high testing standards.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a QA Engineer, Senior Test Analyst, or Test Lead, defining test approaches for complex projects.
• Excellent understanding of software testing methodologies, risk-based testing, and QA best practices.
• Experience creating test strategies, reviewing requirements for testability, and designing comprehensive test cases.
• Experience building and maintaining automated regression and API test suites using tools such as Postman, Selenium, Playwright, or Katalon.
• Ability to read and review automated test code and validate test coverage.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Agile delivery environments, and release readiness decisions.
• Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar test management and defect tracking tools.
• Experience documenting business processes or system functionality for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience within regulated or enterprise-scale environments is a plus.
• ISTQB Advanced certification, AI testing experience, or familiarity with AI-assisted development is an advantage.
