Role description:
As a Medior Software Engineer specializing in front-end development in Angular, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining cutting-edge software and leveraging the latest technologies to deliver exceptional user experiences. You will collaborate across multiple disciplines and contribute to an agile, innovative, and high-growth environment.
Role accountabilities:
1. Software Development
Design, develop, and maintain front-end code using the Angular framework to meet user stories, sprint goals, and acceptance criteria.
Build features that deliver user value and ensure any bugs are promptly resolved with permanent fixes.
2. Agile Collaboration and DevOps
Actively participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Assist in code testing processes, collaborating closely with test engineers to ensure code quality and functionality.
Perform code reviews for peers to maintain coding standards and quality.
3. Continuous Learning and Technology Adoption
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and frameworks, contributing ideas for their potential application within the team.
Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and share new insights with team members to keep the team at the cutting edge.
Exhibit a can-do attitude and passion for software development, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Technical Team Leads, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Work closely with testers to ensure new features are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards.
5. Problem Solving and Quality Assurance
Show a methodical approach in identifying and resolving complex problems, ensuring robust and reliable software delivery.
Follow Scrum and Agile best practices to optimize team efficiency and maintain high standards of quality in your work.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential Experience & Capabilities
- 3+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on front-end.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proficiency in technologies such as Angular and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and PaaS solutions.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
Beneficial Not Essential
- Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL is a plus.
- Experience with back-end frameworks like Node.js and Java Spring is a plus.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using tools like Azure Pipelines.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and Microsoft tools (Azure DevOps and GitHub).
- Understanding of software design patterns and their application in modern software development.
- Basic knowledge of automation and scripting for software development and deployment processes.
- Familiarity with learning design and development principles.
