Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Railroad Facilities Engineer to join our growing North America Railroad Facilities Engineering practice to provide expert technical consulting and solutions to our clients, and technical and developmental leadership to our railroad facilities engineering team. Project types include locomotive, car, and MOW facilities; locomotive fueling and servicing facilities; material management and storage facilities; support buildings and facilities; and utilities. This is an opportunity to work with North America’s largest railroads; Arcadis North America and global team members; and to make a direct impact on our clients and team. Requires ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Role accountabilities:
- This role requires strong leadership skills, including experience managing program/project delivery, prioritization of tasks, coordination with design disciplines, along with managing project budget and schedule.
- In this role, you will work directly with the client, business development, and execution team providing leadership, guidance, QA/QC for program and project delivery through the complete project cycle.
- In this role you will, apply business knowledge, market awareness, client-relationship, compelling solutions, innovation, and thought leadership increase our sales and performance.
- Mentoring and providing directions to design teams to efficiently and collaboratively execute projects.
- Work with quality team to implement quality management activities within project execution.
- Maintain keen understanding of technical developments in industry, emergency trends, and issues to drive development of innovative solution and differentiated value propositions.

- Strong background in detailed engineering.
- Interpersonal and client facing requirements will require someone with excellent, clear and concise, oral and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to contribute
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, team-oriented, and flexibility individual who possess the initiative and ability to tackle new projects, challenges, and projects
- Proven experience in collaborating with clients, contractors, and other consultants.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 15+ railroad facilities engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in mechanical, civil, industrial, or related engineering field.
- Registered Professional Engineer - PE
- NCEES registration a plus.
- AREMA membership a plus

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $94,944 - $185,616.00. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
