Job title: Design Engineer – Water Structures (UK)

 

Qualification & Experience:

• B.E. Civil Engineering and/or M.E. / M. Tech Structural Engineering (preferred) from a recognized University.

• 4 to 7 years of relevant experience

 

Principal Duties & Key Responsibilities:

 

• Carrying out the structural analysis and design of water/sewage treatment plant and non-plant structures (steel & concrete) in accordance with relevant Eurocodesinternational codes and standards.
• Building analytical models using structural software tools such as Autodesk Robot, Staad Pro, IDEA StatiCa, or similar.
• Preparation of structural design calculations, reports, loads and stresses related to different structures under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Working under supervision and guidance of Senior Engineer on various projects in line with the Client requirement.
• Provide design input to CAD/BIM and co-ordinate with CAD/BIM staff for preparation of drawings.
• Compliance of Arcadis business management system.
• Compliance with relevant H&S regulations and to follow company procedures. 

 

Required Competencies:

 

• Good understanding of British and European standards (mandatory). Familiarity with other International standards and practices related to Structural Engineering would be an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge in structural design of water retaining structures.
• Proficiency in various software’s used in Structural Engineering like Autodesk Robot professional, Staad Pro, IDEA StatiCa, etc.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and ACC.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office.
• A strong, self-motivated and assertive person capable of working under pressure.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Flexible to adopt new work as per business requirement.
