Project technical coordination of the controller and operability scope of work, from engineering, manufacturing and up to commissioning.

She/he primary supports Nuclear New Build,.

 

  • Apply the SQDC (Safety including psychological safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost) mantra in the right order to align with business priorities.

  • Be a contributor of nuclear safety culture in the organization, its values and implement them in everyone daily activities.

  • On project perform, from launch to site commissioning, technical coordination (quality cost delay) at the discipline level: operability, controls, and simulation for the full plant scope (Turbine, Balance of Plant, generator including auxiliaries). This includes tracking and follow up meetings leadership but also reporting on the KPIs.

  • Be aware of the nuclear safety, its implications on the design and engineering practices.

  • Ensure that the design is conducted according to all safety aspects (nuclear, product & functional) with support of the experts and specialist.

  • Be a key contributor of the Lead engineer Operability & Controls community. Share best practices, return of experience, provide support to the colleagues, share concerns to get advises from the community, risk review and their mitigation plan, cost out, reducing Cost of poor quality. Mentor other community members on the area they need to grow. Minimize interfaces within the discipline.

  • Lead and fill roadmap of the project (smartsheet or other) including a detailed short-term view and a higher view for longer term.

  • Manage interfaces with other discipline, partners & customers when necessary to get all necessary inputs available so that execution team can remain focused.

  • Contribute to the identification of the priorities for the team through a transparent and data driven description of the project’s challenges.

  • Report to the project management and discipline leadership the status, challenges, on the project and propose mitigation plans. Ensure data is available for KPI measurement.

  • Perform contract analysis at the Inquiry to order phase and capitalize based on execution experience to minimize future gap.

  • Plan phase review and design review with the experts and other stakeholders, follow up and track associated action items and give Approval of the deliverable sent to the customers.

  • Compliance of requirement management includes Supervise design through design freeze and Design Change Request process.

  • Provide technical support to Project manager or project engineering manager on the operability & controls aspects and handover to service team.

  • Punctual on -site travel to suppliers or customers location.

    Required Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in I&C systems or general engineering or equivalent experience

    • Trained to Nuclear Safety Culture

    • Minimum 10 years working experience in engineering with at least 3 years in nuclear space.

    • Proven experience in I&C Systems development

    • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills

    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

    • Ability to prioritize and align with business need proactively.

    • Demonstrated ability to meet goals and objectives with autonomy and rigor.

    • Ability to prioritize and focus on the key business priorities. Proactive behavior and can-do attitude

    • Ability to adapt real-time to rapidly changing environment and grow in a demanding technical environment

    • Team player & ability to create a culture of collaboration / transparency / responsibility.

Desired characteistics :

    • Experience in Steam Turbine Control & Instrumentation design.

    • Knowledge in Nuclear Power Plant Operation & Control.

    • Knowledge of nuclear safety standards (RCC-E, IEC 61513, IEC 61226, IEC62138, IEC 60780, ISO 19443)
