Your Role

In your daily job you will:

• Perform 2D and 3D mechanical design for automotive components in accordance with customer and internal requirements.
• Prepare and release customer-responsive drawings, specifications, and preliminary Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Maintain and update GSD data and related engineering databases to ensure data accuracy and traceability.
• Conduct design reviews and support lesson-learned activities to enhance design quality and development efficiency.
• Manage Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) processes throughout product development and mass production phases.
• Support mechanical development activities in collaboration with product engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Ensure effective technical communication and coordination with Aptiv global engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Comply with internal engineering standards, development processes, and documentation requirements.

Your Background

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in 2D/3D mechanical design within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in mechanical CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX, Creo, or equivalent).
• Experience in preparing engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation for customer release.
• Knowledge of ECR/ECN processes and engineering change management.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Effective communication skills in a global engineering environment.
