As a backend developer, you’ll build web applications that transform internal workflows. You will own features end‑to‑end with support from peers (code reviews, product, DevOps) and help define architecture, implement, test, and deploy on our cloud infrastructure.

Your Role

• Design, implement, test, and ship features in Python/Django

• Model data and write efficient queries using Django ORM

• Containerize and deploy services with Docker and NGINX; automate with CI/CD

• Collaborate with frontend software engineers that build responsive UIs using HTMX + Tailwind CSS with Django Templates (progressive enhancement)

• Deploy to Azure/AWS cloud

• Ensure quality with unit/integration tests (pytest) and code reviews

• Collaborate with product, PM, and stakeholders; refine requirements and scope realistic milestones

• Uphold security best practices

Your Background

• 3+ years building web applications in Python with Django (and ideally Django REST Framework)

• Solid SQL and ORM experience (Django ORM or SQLAlchemy); working with PostgreSQL/MySQL/MSSQL/SQLite

• Containerization with Docker, reverse proxying with NGINX, and CI/CD pipelines

• Deploying to a public cloud (Azure or AWS)

• Effective English communication (B2) and experience delivering against a roadmap in a collaborative environment

Nice to have:

• Experience with Alpine.js or Vue.js, Plotly for charts

• Front‑end fundamentals and server‑rendered UIs using HTMX and Tailwind (or similar)

• Auth standards (OAuth2/OIDC), SSO, RBAC; SAST/DAST familiarity

• Analytics and instrumentation (feature telemetry, usage dashboards)

• Experience with operating on excel files with Python (Pandas, Polars)
