Software Solutions Intern - Grand Rapids MI

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Applied Innovation is seeking a Software Solutions Intern to join our Network Connectivity department. In this role, you will help configure, maintain, and support our meter software agent environment while gaining hands on experience in software solutions, troubleshooting, data analysis, and customer support.

This is an in office position based out of our Grand Rapids, Michigan Distribution Center located at 3223 Kraft Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512. This role offers flexible hours based on your availability.

Software Solutions Intern Responsibilities and Objectives:

• Onboard external customers to our supported meter software agent.

• Maintain the meter environment by mapping customers and equipment, adding and removing records, and performing preventative maintenance.

• Troubleshoot and resolve external customer meter collection issues using an established troubleshooting process.

• Analyze reports for large customer accounts to determine whether an issue is isolated to a single device or impacts a broader network or fleet.

• Build technical experience by configuring AR Data appliances.

• Maintain accurate documentation for historical and analytical purposes.

• Provide our customers with Fast, Friendly, and Amazing service.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, or another closely related technology field.

• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to provide customer focused end user support by phone and email.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• Willingness to learn new software, systems, and technical processes.

Experience Working With:

• External customers or end users.

• Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
