Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician to join our unique repair operation lab in Kiryat Gat

As an Engineering Technician at Applied Materials you’ll be working for a high growth international company, integrating into the heart of the manufacturing process of advanced digital devices. You’ll get the opportunity to practice and work on the most advanced semiconductor equipment while being responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing, and analyzing electrical and electro‑mechanical components that support global semiconductor customers.

What You’ll Be Doing?

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide variety of electrical and electro‑mechanical assemblies.
  • Use schematics, wiring diagrams, and test documents to identify issues and validate repairs.
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis without always having manuals or playbooks — using iterative testing, experimentation, and experience.
  • Execute component‑level repairs, replacements, and upgrades in a lab environment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation: repair logs, test results, part audits, shipping details.
  • Interface with local field engineers and internal stakeholders as needed.

What should you have?

  • Technical diploma, Practical Engineer (Electronics/Electrical),or equivalent hands-on technical training.
  • 2-4 years of relevant repair experience (electronics, electro‑mechanical systems, lab repair, similar relevant experience.).
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings..
  • Ability to work independently in a lab environment in Kiryat Gat with diverse responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in English
  • Day position, not shifts

Physical Requirements: 
This position often requires extensive walking, standing for extended periods of time, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 35 lbs., the ability to distinguish between colors and working with electricity, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools. Additionally, because this position generally involves working in a clean room, it requires the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as booties, safety glasses, gloves,  respirators.
