We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer with deep expertise in automotive E/E architectures, vehicle software applications, and embedded systems. In this role, you will collaborate directly with our automotive OEM customers to define and manage critical system requirements across various vehicle domains. Your work will be pivotal in shaping the technical direction of software-defined vehicles, driving innovation within the automotive industry.
At Applied Intuition, you will:
- Architect and manage complex system and subsystem requirements, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and functional objectives
- Define system bounds, capabilities, and functional features within the context of software defined vehicles
- Work directly with our customers to thoughtfully translate intricate needs into precise system requirements and define clear operational objectives for integrated vehicle systems
- Establish well-defined goals for project areas and develop detailed execution plans to ensure timely requirement fulfillment
- Ensure system designs adhere to relevant automotive industry standards and regulations, including ASPICE and ISO 26262
- Collaborate closely with verification and validation teams to ensure comprehensive requirement verification throughout the development lifecycle
We’re looking for someone who has:
- 5+ years of experience in a systems engineering role within the automotive industry, with a proven track record of soliciting, designing, and owning system requirements
- M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent required
- Expertise in automotive electrical and software engineering principles, with a strong understanding of E/E architectures, platform capabilities, as well as different domains (body, driving, etc.) and their interactions
- In-depth knowledge of automotive industry standards and processes, specifically ASPICE and ISO 26262
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams in English and German (B2+) to deliver high-quality results
Nice to have:
- Prior experience in a startup environment, demonstrating adaptability and a can-do attitude
- Experience with relevant system engineering tools
- Prior work with software-defined vehicles and base software components
- Experience with vehicle diagnostics, OTA, Autosar and different automotive domains
- Project management and leadership experience in the automotive industry
