About you

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:

  • Desirable Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer with Amazon Web Services.
  • Proficiency with AWS services: EC2, S3, ECS/EKS, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation, CloudWatch.
  • Proficiency with IaC tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, Jenkins. 
  • Configuration management tools like Ansible. 
  • Monitoring tools like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, X-Ray, Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Proficiency with cloud security best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration competencies.
  • Advanced english proficiency.

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:

  • Write Terraform configurations to represent the AWS infrastructure state in code. 
  • Represent the actual infrastructure in network/topology/services diagrams in each environment (Development, QA, Production). 
  • Plan and conduct game days to test and enhance the code and diagrams. 
  • Propose the best practice approaches in terms of architecture design, security, naming conventions, governance, etc. 
  • Support CI/CD lifecycle. 
  • Take ownership of the AWS environment assigned.
