Lead User Solutions Engineer - Infrastructure

In this role, you will lead a team of platform engineers, focusing on aligning technological solutions with business objectives and enhancing user experiences across end user tools. Responsibilities include full lifecycle management of tools, strategic collaboration with business and engineering groups, continuous user feedback integration, and pioneering new technologies for operational improvement. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, but more importantly, a user-first mindset, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and the ability to translate business needs into strategic technology solutions.

Team Overview

This position will manage the Desktop Engineering and User Solutions teams, which include full-time employees and contractors based in the US, UK, and India. The role is positioned within the infrastructure organization, ensuring collaboration across various infrastructure groups.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Team and Strategy Leadership: Lead a team of platform engineers to enhance alignment with business objectives, promoting a culture that centers on user needs. Define clear roles and responsibilities within the team, identifying and recruiting talent to fill organizational gaps.
• End-to-End Product Ownership: Take full ownership of the lifecycle of end user tools, from design to maintain, ensuring tools meet end-users' needs effectively and efficiently.
• User Experience Evaluation: Conduct a thorough assessment of current end user tools to identify usability issues and areas for improvement. Propose and implements strategies for continuous enhancement based on user feedback and usage analysis. Champion a user-centric approach by gathering insights, identifying pain points, and ensuring all solutions enhance productivity and usability.
• Strategic Collaboration: Lead regular meetings with engineering and business groups to ensure our technological solutions are closely aligned with business goals and evolving requirements.
• Innovation and Implementation: Research and integrate new technologies that improve daily operations. Pilot these innovations, gathering and analyzing user feedback to measure impact.
• Continuous Improvement: Regularly collect user feedback, stay abreast of emerging technologies, and implement improvements to keep ahead of customer expectations. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to quantify success and guide future enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in an end-user engineering role with a significant focus on leadership and strategic planning in a Windows 10/11 Network Environment

• Product Management Mindset: Strong ability to define strategy, prioritize features, and drive execution in a structured manner.

• User Experience & Design Thinking: Experience in conducting user research, journey mapping, and implementing feedback loops to enhance digital experiences.

• Strong Analytical & Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data, interpret business trends, and make informed decisions.

• Business & Technology Alignment: Proven ability to translate business goals into actionable technology roadmaps.

Technical Expertise (as a foundation):

• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 10/11 environments and M365 ecosystem, including SCCM, Intune, and MDM tools.

• Knowledge of networking protocols (DNS, DHCP) and cloud-based workplace solutions.

• Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy management, and security best practices.

• Experience working with software deployment, automation, and self-service technology solutions.

• Knowledge of DEX tools preferred.

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
