This is a Hybrid role based out of our office located in Loveland, Colorado.

Job Purpose/Overview

The combination of rapid technology innovation, changes in consumer preferences & behaviours that would have been unthinkable a mere decade ago, and the power and importance of data, have become disruptive forces to large incumbent businesses with established business models such as Mars.  This role will play a leadership position in helping lead associates in developing solutions to support R&D business objectives, including collaborating with innovative AI development teams, and then driving these solutions to scale and widespread prominence within science and diagnostics. The role will also be responsible for directly managing a small team of up to 5 associates as well as external expert resources bought into the team on an as-needed basis.

 This role will also partner with teams across Mars on collaborative work where it benefits SDx R&D to do so.  The role will interact with Associates of all levels, from individual contributors through to senior directors.

A key deliverable for the role will be on generating real, measurable business value by leading teams that will implement operationally these capabilities.

We are seeking a Lead Software Manager to lead our team in developing and implementing cutting-edge Imaging Technologies in pet diagnostics. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership and mentoring skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation in Software Product development for the NEXT GEN product line while fostering team growth and collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of 3-5 programmers, fostering their technical and professional growth

• Develop and implement software solutions for specific challenges

• Create individual development plans for team members, provide regular feedback and identify training opportunities

• Lead project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals

• Collaborate with other software development teams and Antech IT to operationalize solutions

• Engage with stakeholders to prioritize projects and communicate progress effectively

• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing within the team

• Participate in talent acquisition to build a diverse and skilled team

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field

• 3+ years of experience in Software development with knowledge in C#/.NET and JAVA

• Leadership and line management experience:

• 1+ year of team lead or project management experience

Working Conditions

The associate is regularly required to apply manual dexterity, including hand/wrist flexibility, for computer keyboarding.  The associate frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.  The associate is frequently required to hear and speak in order to use the telephone, make presentations and communicate with people in an office environment.  The associate is occasionally required to sit and stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch.
