Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Design a wide array of high-traffic and highly-scalable platforms and applications
- Understanding business requirements and translating these into technical solutions
- Designing and creating the underlying data structure and data flows to support the application build
- Designing and building web interfaces on multiple platforms using Ruby on Rails and related databases using best practices
- Liaising directly with internal and external business users and providing 2nd/ 3rd line support on the Rails applications through the life-cycle of the project
- This role requires a level of technical experience and interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively with business staff, technical team, and third party developers
- Keeping up to date with the latest plans, developments and changes in the Rails world.
- Provide on-going support of existing Rails Developments.
Qualifications
Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred
- 4+ Years of experience in Ruby on Rails
- Sound knowledge of Ruby on Rails
- Strong understanding of design patterns
- Strong understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture
- Background in a MVC-based implementation of a web platform
