We are seeking an ambitious Staff Digital Engineer to provide support to our Automotive & Energy Systems Industrial Business Unit located at Analog Devices, Dublin (Ireland)  

The candidate will be self-motivated and will join a team of experienced Analog designers and work effectively within a group of Analog designers, Layout Designers, Test Engineers, and Application Engineers. The candidate will be involved from the definition, through the development till test and customer support of Automotive Power products.

Position Overview:

As ADI expands into new product and market segments, the Automotive Power Solution Group is looking for a highly skilled Digital IC Design Engineer who will be responsible for designing high performance products targeted at Display and Lighting market applications.

As a Staff Digital Design Engineer, you will perform a full range of product development activities including, but not limited to:

  • Perform new digital design using (System-)Verilog RTL, standard cells, or other approaches as necessary to implement digital control Display, LED Drivers and HV power ICs for Automotive market
  • Perform linting, synthesis, logic equivalence checks, static timing analysis, DFT, ATPG tasks and ECO flow
  • Assist with physical implementation, clock tree synthesis constraints, floorplan optimization
  • Perform block and chip level verification and regression
  • Use version control recommended tools for source code and documentation
  • Use up-to-date design and verification techniques to ensure first silicon success

Requirements:

  • MSEE with 7+ years of relevant industry experience with a strong background in digital design and mixed signal IC design
  • Good written and verbal communication (English)
  • Strong coding and documentation practices.
  • Verilog, SystemVerilog fluency in design, simulation, and verification domains.
  • Ability to own and drive product definition and design assignments to completion with minimum supervision.
  • Motivated to learn and master the full digital design process (eventually covering all areas of experience listed below). ​

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working experience with custom digital interfaces like I2C, SPI, UART, etc.
  • Prototyping digital designs with FPGA
  • RTL design for synchronous applications, including multiple clock domains
    (Asynchronous Design experience is considered as a plus).
  • Hands on State-of-the-art verification methodologies (UVM, Assertion based validation, Formal Verification, Verification plan, Metric driven coverage, regression) for RTL and Post Layout netlist.
  • IC bench evaluation by using Oscilloscopes, Multimeter, Power Source, Function Generator and Python.
  • Mixed-signal simulation (Cadence® AMS), interfacing with analog functions (Verilog-AMS or WREAL modelling experience is considered as a plus).
