Duties:                        

Provide lot disposition for on hold materials at wafer sort and drive root cause investigation. Identify baseline yield issues and work with foundry owners to implement corrective actions and the introduction of proactive preventative measures to avert yield loss. Act as the yield project manager who drives root cause determination of low yield excursion, Work in Progress (WIP) disposition, and corrective action implementation through technical know-how, data analysis, and controlled communication between various stake holders. Design and develop new data mining methodology for monitoring defects and improving yields on products used in automotive safety, industrial application, power management, and medical diagnosis. Compile and evaluate test data to determine appropriate limits for process and material specifications. Collaborate with design, product engineering and foundry owners in early stage of product development to ensure design for manufacturing principles are implemented in the design and tape-out phase. Supply wafer configuration details and engineering yield data for new product introduction in ADI database. Partial telecommute benefit (2 days WFH).

Requirements:        

Master’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical and Computer Engineering or a related technical field of study (or foreign education equivalent) and 2 years of experience as an Engineer or related role managing yield loss in manufacturing.

Special Skills:       

Must also possess two (2) years of experience in each of the following:
• Managing the disposition of production materials on hold at wafer sort for multiple process technologies, including bipolar, CMOS, BCD and BICMOS processes;
• Data mining large volume circuit probing test data for low yield root cause investigation, and to determine appropriate limits for process and material specifications;
• Implementing design for manufacturing principles at the tape-out phase in semiconductor process technologies, including CVD, PVD, lithography, etch, wet clean, and implantation; and
• Driving root cause determination of fab excursion and WIP disposition.
