Rate of Pay:                 $151091.00 - 154560.00 per Year

Duties: Provide engineering support to new and matured product lines in volume production. Monitor and identify yield enhancement opportunities, perform root cause analysis. Interface with design, process, test, reliability, and manufacturing engineering to have solution in pace. Develop and sustain process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields. Define problems by identifying failure modes, quantity of material affected, percent fallout, etc. Perform circuit analysis on a variety of analog and mixed signal integrated circuits by using Cadence and electrical lab equipment. Identify the root cause by performing data analysis, electrical bench validation, fault isolation, physical failure analysis, and material characterization. Understand semiconductor process-level and system-level root cause of the problems, drive the solution in manufacturing operation. Understand the test methodology, be able to bridge the datasheet to test, identify the test issues and drive the solutions. Support process and product fab transfer qualification by understanding the root cause of the parametric difference between the materials. Partial telecommute benefit (2 days per week work from home permitted).

Requirements:        

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 2 years of experience as product engineer or related occupation performing mixed signal circuit debugging and physical failure analysis.

Special skills:       

Must also possess the following:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (DE) identifying possible yield enhancement opportunities by conducting yield analysis of various core, industrial and mobile products;
  • DE performing data analysis using ACE, Galaxy Examinator and Exensio to study failing tests and their correlation with process parameters;
  • DE performing circuit simulation of full chip or certain blocks in modeling platforms such as Cadence Virtuoso;
  • DE conducting testbench validation of failing units employing Electrical Failure Analysis techniques such as Obirch, Emission and Thermal Hotspot analysis, Microprobing, and
    Nanoprobing; and
  • DE detecting inline defects through mechanical delayering and Scanning Electron Microscopy (“SEM”) physical failure analysis methods on failing units.
