Analog Devices is seeking a digital design engineer for its Networking Product Group (NPG) in beachside Santa Barbara, CA. NPG designs mixed-signal power management SoCs with significant digital content.

The successful candidate will learn all aspects of IC design: product definition, system architecture, digital design, backend design, design test, system debug, authoring data sheets, and customer engagements. This is a demanding multi-disciplinary position with unique growth potential. Analog Devices rewards performance, innovation, and collaboration.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Author, review, and validate RTL in support of active projects

• Design and debug FPGA-based validation boards for pre- and post-silicon design evaluation

• Evaluate and characterize ASICs and their demo boards; debug circuits and make electrical measurements

• Automate validation and product characterization with standard and in-house test equipment

• Collect and present test data and generate test reports

• Perform product development support duties

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4+ years experience and BSEE/MSEE or related discipline, including relevant coursework, projects, or work experience that demonstrate an understanding of digital and mixed-signal design

• Proficiency with digital design and scripting languages (e.g., SystemVerilog, Python)

• Exposure to industry-standard digital design tools (e.g., Xilinx Vivado; Cadence Genus, Innovus, Tempus, Modus, Conformal)

• Proficiency with bench-top equipment (e.g., power supply, multi-meter, oscilloscope, etc.)

• Good understanding of the operation and measurement of basic analog circuits

• Strong organization and written/verbal communication skills

• A patient and detail-oriented mindset

• A sense of enjoyment for digital design and the IC development process

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with UVM, Tcl, and Embedded C

• Detailed knowledge of computer architecture and operating system constructs
