Role Summary

We are seeking a motivated individual who will be responsible for defining and governing scalable test frameworks and Software Quality Assurance (SQA) practices for the delivery of high-quality embedded software for Radio IC and SoC products. This role ensures quality is designed into the lifecycle through reusable automation frameworks, integrated CI/CD validation, and audit-ready traceability. The position combines deep embedded test expertise with cross-program influence to standardize practices, improve measurable quality outcomes, and reduce defect escape. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and technical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment across a geographically distributed organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, govern, and maintain SQA strategy and test framework architecture, ensuring end-to-end traceability across requirements, implementation, test coverage, and release artifacts, with audit-ready evidence and documentation.
  • Drive the architecture and evolution of reusable embedded software test frameworks, including automation libraries, infrastructure, and toolchains. Enable standardization and reuse across multiple programs and ensure frameworks support functional, integration, system, regression, and continuous verification.
  • Lead integration of test frameworks into CI/CD pipelines. Define automated quality gates and ensure reliable, scalable test execution to support continuous delivery.
  • Define and track quality metrics, including coverage, defect detection/escape rates, regression stability, and CI health. Perform defect trend analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective/preventive actions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as an SQA subject matter expert and influence system and software design for testability and quality. Collaborate with software, systems, and product teams to enforce best practices.
  • Leads and contributes to audits, risk assessments, and change management, ensuring adherence to defined quality criteria.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of ADI software development and quality processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Significant experience in embedded software testing and validation. Proven experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python for test development. Strong experience with embedded systems, hardware/software interaction, and debugging.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git-based workflows) and test/defect management tools. Demonstrated ability to develop test strategies aligned to requirements and execute across the full software lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills with ability to drive quality improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HIL/SIL environments and system-level validation. Domain experience in high-speed data converters, RF, or mixed-signal systems.
  • Familiarity with ASPICE and ISO 9001 quality frameworks. Experience implementing requirements-to-test traceability and quality metrics dashboards.
  • Track record of influencing organization-wide testing standards, framework reuse, and process improvements. Experience supporting audits and compliance activities.

Success Profile

  • Recognized technical authority in embedded test frameworks and SQA practices. Demonstrates broad organizational impact through standardization, reuse, and quality improvements across programs.
  • Serves as a technical authority for framework architecture, quality metrics, and audit readiness. Delivers scalable automation enabling continuous testing and reliable release decisions.
  • Drives proactive quality practices using data, metrics, and root cause analysis. Influences cross-functional teams and embeds quality into system and software design.
