Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Design experiments, collect and analyze data, and identify trends and anomalies. Use statistical tools to draw conclusions and make data-driven decisions to improve performance and process yield.
- Setup and execute process and device simulations to guide experimental design.
- Perform electrical characterization of transistors and other electronic devices.
- Maintain detailed records of process parameters, experiments, and results. Generate reports and documentation to disseminate results.
- Design concepts and perform physical layout to assess failure mechanisms and viable process limits.
- Identify and resolve process-related issues through root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process yield.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot semiconductor manufacturing processes and transfer new technologies into high-volume production.
Minimum qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or related field is desired.
- Exceptional candidates with a bachelor’s degree in these fields with 2+ years relevant work/research experience will be considered.
- Strong fundamental understanding of semiconductor processing techniques and device physics is essential.
- Experience with electronic device characterization techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Highly skilled in time management and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-motivated and able to work independently on projects
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred qualifications
- M.S./Ph.D. in a relevant field is preferred.
- Comprehension of electronic device process/performance interactions is a plus.
- Expertise in one or more of the following techniques is preferred: furnace deposition, dry etching, photolithography.
