DHC System ML Algorithm Engineer

The growth and demand for health monitoring has and will continue to grow exponentially. ADI is well positioned to leverage its core sensor and signal processing technology to take advantage of this growth. We are looking for an experienced talented individual who is passionate about the intersection of artificial intelligence, digital signal processing and embedded systems. In this position, you can couple the advanced technologies being developed at ADI to the physiological challenges being presented by the market to develop systems for bio/medical applications.

The candidate:

  • Will develop digital signal processing techniques and algorithms (both classical and Machine learning-based) with applications specific to medical devices including, but not limited to vital signs monitoring (VSM) consists of optical sensing systems (PPG), IMUs, biopotential (ECG, EMG, EEG), and bioimpedance (EDA, thoracic impedance, ICG, etc.), and thermal sensors.
  • Will be a key contributor to one or more technical teams that design and implement next generation of intelligence at the edge for healthcare applications.
  • Work involves research and development of state-of-the art artificial intelligence techniques, signal processing methods and ultimately integration and implementation of these capabilities onto embedded processing systems for biomedical applications.
  • Experience with exploratory and statistical data analysis (such as linear models, multivariate analysis, predictive modeling and stochastic models).
  • Proven experience and background in two or more of these technical areas: artificial intelligence, computer architecture, digital design, embedded software development, and digital signal processing.
  • Proven experience with multiple high-level programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Matlab)
  • Will interface with design, test, application, software and marketing teams as the product(s) move from design to completion and distribution.
  • Will support customers with the customer’s platform and resolve algorithm-specific issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MS/PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in AI and DSP
  • Fluency in Python, Matlab programming skills, embedded C, and familiarity with C++, AWS technology
  • Experience working with large data sets for algorithm development
  • Experience with software engineering practices and developing data pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (Jira, SVN, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills as they will be developing requirements and design documents 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with analysis of EHR/claim data.
  • Experience working with cloud computing and database systems 
  • Experience with industry standard design tools
  • Experience with multiple prototyping tools/languages/operating systems
  • Willingness to learn and work end-to-end, from analysis/modeling to production software.
