The Team: The Industrial Connectivity and Control (ICC) Team focuses on the automation of the industrial environment. We enable the digital transformation vision of our customers securely connect information through the converging IT and OT environments and to interpret these insights leading to more sustainable factories and smart buildings.  Software Configurable I/O (SWIO), 10SPE (Single Pair Ethernet), and IO-Link are core technologies for communication with sensors and actuators, offering improved industrial connectivity which enable customers to realize production efficiencies.  

Brief Job Description: 

The Design Evaluation Engineer is a key member of the New Product Development Team from the early stages of the design process to product release. In this role, he/she will be responsible for development of evaluation plans and high-performance bench-top measurement solutions for our innovative mixed signal products. He/She will work with a broad range of precision analogue and digital electronics including ADCs, DACs, amplifiers, LDOs and references as well as custom digital and embedded microcontrollers. With the right skills, he/she will develop significant expertise at the circuit, component and system level across several application areas. 

• Building a deep understanding of the product and the end application by working closely with members of the New Product Development Team  

• Engaging early in the design cycle, providing Design-For-Test (DFT) inputs and working with design team for implementation 

• Developing high performance bench-top measurement systems: a mix of hardware and software design to characterize silicon performance, validating functionality and identifying bugs 

• Analyzing data and creating measurement reports to meet ADI’s product release requirement 

Qualifications: 

• BSECE, BSEE or BSCPE or Master’s degree in related field or equivalent 

• Knowledge in analog, digital and mixed-signal electronics 

• Problem solving and data analysis skills 

• Proficiency in using various bench equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVM, programmable source and measure units, etc. 

• Programming and Tools: LabVIEW, Test Stand, LTSpice, Bitbucket, Python or embedded C would be an advantage 

• The ability to learn quickly and apply existing knowledge to solve new problems effectively 

• Strong teamwork, inter-personal and communication skills
