Job Description:
As an Associate Digital Design Engineer at ADI, you will be responsible for assisting in the design and development of digital integrated circuits (ICs) such as microprocessors, memory systems, and digital signal processing units. You will work closely with senior engineers, using hardware description languages like Verilog or VHDL to model, simulate, and verify digital circuits. You will gain hands-on experience in design synthesis, static timing analysis, and FPGA prototyping. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including analog, verification, and process engineers, to debug and optimize the performance of fabricated ICs.
This position includes formal and on-the-job training, providing excellent opportunities to develop technical skills and grow within the digital design field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, simulation, and verification of digital circuits using Verilog or VHDL.
- Collaborate with verification engineers to ensure designs meet functional and performance requirements.
- Support static timing analysis (STA) and other verification processes to ensure proper timing and performance.
- Participate in FPGA prototyping for rapid testing and validation of digital designs.
- Work with senior engineers to debug and optimize digital ICs.
Skills You Will Need to be Successful:
- Digital Circuit Design: Basic expertise in designing and modifying digital circuits for ICs.
- Firmware / Embedded Design: Introductory skills in designing firmware and embedded systems.
- Digital Modeling: Ability to create digital models and verify their accuracy under supervision.
- EDA Tools: Familiarity with EDA tools for design verification.
- Finite-State Machines: Basic understanding of designing finite-state machines for control logic.
- Verilog RTL: Proficiency in using Verilog for RTL design and verification tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience, including internships or co-op experience.
- Basic knowledge of digital design principles and verification tools.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The wage range for a new hire into this position is $68,000 to $93,500.
Actual wage offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, training, external market data, internal equity, or other bona fide factors.
