Anaconda is seeking a talented Software Engineer, Backend III to join our rapidly-growing company on the Package Security Manager Team! Anaconda's Package Security Manager (PSM) is at the forefront of securing open-source packages, ensuring safe and reliable software environments for millions of users. What You’ll Do:

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of Anaconda's Package Security Manager, driving innovations in software security that protect millions of users and shape the future of package management.

• Attend the team’s daily scrum meetings, planning, sprint reviews, etc.

• Collaborate with external teams for joint deliverables, Product Management, and other stakeholders within Engineering(Frontend, UX, QA, etc) to maintain a high quality in fast-paced, agile development environments.

• Review PRs and contribute to the engineering and product discussions

• Create and implement new processes that add to product quality, security, and performance

• Take ownership of the team’s process inefficiencies, and implement cross-team efforts to ensure things are running smoothly

• Increase productivity skills by improving knowledge or core infrastructure and tooling, as well as testing best practices

• Create and present areas of interest within the organization lunch and learn or team learning events

• Play a significant role in mentoring junior engineers and participating in support calls to understand customer use cases

What You Need:

• 5+ years of software development experience 

• Deep and proven experience with Python

• Advanced knowledge of the Python ecosystem, including best practices

• Experience with application monitoring (eg: grafana, prometheus and loki monitoring stacks)

• Experience with AWS or similar cloud providers

• Strong team collaboration and communication skills

• Superior design, debugging and problem-solving skills
