In this vital role you will focus on developing and enhancing technology solutions that enable Workforce Strategy and Planning, collaborating with multi-functional teams to deliver high-quality, user-centered applications. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge in React.js, Python, Jira, and the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), as well as experience working in an agile delivery environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain custom tools and applications that support Workforce Strategy and Planning initiatives, using full-stack development technologies like React.js and Python.

• Collaborate with business and technology key collaborators to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications and system requirements.

• Apply Jira to manage project tasks, track progress, and collaborate with team members in an agile environment.

• Follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions, ensuring alignment to Amgen’s quality and security standards.

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software to ensure high-quality code, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.

• Participate in agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the team.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions that enhance user experience and functionality.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

• Master’s degree and 1 to 3 years of Information Systems, React JS, Python, and full-stack development experience OR

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of Information Systems, React JS, Python, and full-stack development experience OR

• Diploma and 7 to 9 years of Information Systems, React JS, Python, and full-stack development experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of user experience (UX) design principles and their application in software development.

• Proven experience in applying Jira for project management and agile development processes.

• Hands-on experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including standard methodologies in coding, testing, and deployment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively translate technical topics into business language.

• Experience working in an agile delivery model, including familiarity with user stories, sprints, and iterative development.
