Project Manager

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will partner with internal stakeholders and industry experts to design, conduct, interpret and publish observational research that informs decision-making from the early development of a molecule to the design of clinical trials and the safety and efficacy of Amgen medicines. This part-time role is focused on project management and operations support of CfOR-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong collaborative relationships with internal partners to support and proactively respond to business needs including cross-functional project management and operations support

• Develop detailed project plans, facilitating team meetings, encouraging collaboration, developing meeting minutes, and ensuring adherence to workflow processes

• Track the progress of project(s), including milestones, action items and escalation and resolution of issues

• Collect lessons-learned and find innovative solutions to improve processes and enhance efficiencies

• Advance the use of productivity tools in the organization, such as Teams, Copilot, Smartsheet and Miro

• Serve in multiple capacities – Support the Operations Head, lead special projects, conduct required analyses and create results as needed

Basic Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree Or

• Master’s degree and 2 years of research and program management experience Or

• Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of research and program management experience Or

• Associate degree and 8 years of research and program management experience Or

• High school diploma / GED and 10 years of research and program management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exceptional written, analytical and oral communication skills. Able to clearly and effectively present information for executive audiences

• Demonstrated self-starter, ability to work under limited supervision and coordinate multiple projects in a detail oriented and regulated environment

• Experience facilitating discussions and promoting collaboration across multiple parties

• Ability to create and execute multi-channel communication strategies (internal and external).

• Strong skills in stakeholder management, surveys, storytelling, and newsletter communication.

• A minimum of 10 years of project management and executive level communications development experience, preferably at least 5 within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a proactive approach

• Proven ability to effectively navigate ambiguity, complexity, and contending priorities in a matrixed and fast-paced environment.

• Experience with critically evaluating process and establishing innovative and creative solutions

• Understanding of drug commercialization & business practices.

• High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Miro and Smartsheet

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
