What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. We are at the hinge moment of time where biotechnology and artificial intelligence technology meet. The Amgen India program is part of the Technology & Workforce Strategy and will serve as a transformative program for Amgen to develop an innovation and technology center located in India as part of this hinge moment.

Key to these efforts will be building a sustainable program and Transition Management Office that assists in baselining functional work, imaging future capabilities that leaders and functions will need to meet Amgen’s ambitious goals to serve patients. This role will work closely with the Transition Management team and the Functional teams.

As a Project Manager you will involve in a blend of traditional project management and agile methodologies.

  • Use Microsoft Project for planning, scheduling, and managing the project.
  • Create and maintain project plan by working closely with Transition management team and Functional teams, track progress, and generate reports.
  • Track, organize, and monitor tasks and issues within Jira. This involves assigning tasks to team members, setting priorities, and ensuring that all tasks are completed on time.
  • Collaborate with the dashboards development team to ensure the successful deployment of high-quality dashboards.
  • Implement Agile methodologies and serve as an experienced scrum master.
  • Facilitate the Scrum process and ensure that the team adheres to Agile principles. This includes organizing and leading Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Identify and remove any impediments that may hinder the team's progress. This involves working closely with the team to address issues and escalate them when necessary.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Gather dashboard, KPI requirements and work with development team to design and implement.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

Or

Master’s degree and 2 years of project management experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of project management experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 8 years of project management experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 10 years of project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Tenured experience as a project manager and Scrum Master with established history of excellent performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project
  • Efficiency in utilizing project management and dashboarding tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Strong oral/written communications skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated time management, decision making, presentation, and organization skills.
  • Experienced with and efficient at capturing and recording technical details and commitments.
  • Experienced with and effective in communicating program challenges to appropriate team members.
  • Ability to leverage continuous improvement methodologies and change management methodologies.
  • Completed a professional program management training program.
  • Certified in Agile methodologies.
  • Skilled in clearly and concisely communicating program risks and proactively engaging the appropriate resources to mitigate them before they have an impact.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
