WHAT YOU WILL DO

In this role you will be responsible for the oversight and hands-on leadership of the Access and Controls Authorization within the Digital Identity Access Services (DIAS) team across the CDT (Cybersecurity & Digital Trust) organization.

You will lead Identity & Access Management (IAM), provisioning, partner security enablement, and access governance initiatives to ensure secure, compliant, and scalable access solutions across Amgen’s global enterprise. This role is responsible for IAM strategy, provisioning standards, role-based access controls, partner collaboration security, audit readiness, and operational excellence while partnering closely with Information Security, DTI, Privacy, Legal, HR, and external vendors.

  • Lead IAM, provisioning, access governance, and partner security enablement initiatives across DIAS.

  • Oversee onboarding/offboarding, role-based access controls (RBAC), privileged access management (PAM), and least privilege access models.

  • Manage secure collaboration and data exchange solutions including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, MOVEit MFT, AWS DataSync, and related cloud technologies.

  • Support external partner onboarding, secure access enablement, and third-party collaboration services aligned with enterprise security standards.

  • Partner with business teams and external vendors to deliver secure B2B connectivity, file transfer, and collaboration solutions.

  • Provide oversight for partner access reviews, external workforce governance, and secure information exchange processes.

  • Ensure compliance with SOX, GxP, GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, ISO, and internal security standards.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design scalable and secure identity and access solutions.

  • Lead audits, access reviews, incident response support, and remediation activities.

  • Drive automation, operational metrics, KPI reporting, and continuous process improvements.

  • Mentor technical teams and support strategic roadmap, vendor, and governance activities.

  • Strong expertise in IAM technologies including SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, Entra ID/Azure AD, IBM ISIM/IGI, ForgeRock, and Microsoft Identity Manager.

  • Experience with identity governance, provisioning, RBAC, PAM, SSO, federation, and cloud-based IAM solutions.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, networking, secure protocols, Active Directory, APIs, and enterprise collaboration technologies.

  • Experience with , Agile/DevOps methodologies, and scripting/automation using PowerShell or Python.

  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, compliance standards, and regulated environments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience in Information Security, IAM, or Information Technology
    OR

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience in Information Security, IAM, or Information Technology
    OR

  • Diploma with 8+ years of experience in Information Security, IAM, or Information Technology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading IAM provisioning, partner enablement, or identity governance programs in large global enterprises.

  • Strong understanding of external workforce onboarding, third-party access governance, and secure collaboration ecosystems.

  • Experience integrating IAM platforms with enterprise collaboration and file transfer technologies.

  • Proven ability to balance operational support, governance, compliance, and strategic IAM transformation initiatives.

  • Experience in regulated industries such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or clinical environments.

  • Experience managing systems subject to FDA, SOX, GxP, GDPR, HIPAA, or related compliance requirements.

  • Strong vendor management and global client-facing experience.

  • Experience with provisioning architecture and identity governance programs.

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and IAM integrations.

  • Experience supporting external workforce and partner collaboration ecosystems.

  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced global environments.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical thinking capabilities.

  • Experience developing operational metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and governance reporting.

Preferred Certifications

  • CompTIA Security+

  • Cloud Identity or Security Certifications

  • CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security certifications
