This is an opportunity to lead the Technology Enterprise Data Management (the technical implementation of data governance) while heavily influencing a series of Enterprise Technology capabilities (e.g. AI/ML, Big Data, Cloud, Real-Time Event Processing & Analytics, etc.) to support the end-to-end development and execution of Amex's data management strategy, and to drive engineering excellence. You will have the opportunity to work across business units, enterprise technology teams, and product/platform teams to define and execute strategy, driving the consistency, usability, and governance of our data assets for the respective business unit. You will be solving very interesting problems that directly and greatly impact millions of individuals worldwide. Minimum Qualifications:

•  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, EE, EEE, Statistics, Math, Industrial Engineering, Operational Research, Physics, Financial Engineering, or related STEM fields. Advanced degree preferred
• Experience as Full Stack Engineer in technologies like JavaScript, Angular, React, Node, Java, J2EE, Spring, Redux, Micro Services and more to deliver product capabilities.
• Experience of technology platform implementation using tech stack including Java, Springboot, Python, graphQL, Rest API , SQL.
• Hands-on experience with one or more major programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, scripting.
• Have knowledge in Data Privacy, data security, data sharing aspects of the world.
• Current hands-on experience with industry leading data management and privacy side tools like BigID, Collibra and other similar tools is a big plus.
• Hands-on experience on CICD pipelines, Automated test frameworks, DevOps and source code management will be a big plus (XLR, Jenkins, Git, Stash, Jira, Confluence, Splunk etc.
• Knowledge of / experience with Machine Learning is a plus.
• Knowledge of / experience with Docker/Kubernetes and one or more public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms & design patterns
