Digital acquisition is one of American Express’ key priorities, and a core component of this is making the application process as easy and seamless as possible for new applicants and cardmembers. The purpose of the US Commercial Application team is to grow billed business and new accounts acquired for self-directed (i.e. web/mobile) applications.

In this role, the analyst will support the full software development by supporting discovery and requirement definition for new features and providing insightful analysis on opportunities to grow and improve our experiences. This includes identifying continuous optimization opportunities, conducting competitive analysis to analyze processes and application trends, and providing ad-hoc reporting to support innovation in the space. The analyst will partner closely with cross functional teams to ensure efficient prioritization and delivery of the product backlog.

How will you make an impact in this role?

·       Provide support for and/or lead core development projects within the US Commercial Application

·       Support requirement gathering and the creation of agile user stories and acceptance criteria by facilitating collaboration with engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders

·       Support PI, sprint, and capacity planning, story prioritization within the product backlog, and dependency identification, while ensuring scrum team sprint readiness daily in collaboration with the agile champion

·       Lead critical analysis for the team’s core product releases, and work with analytics stakeholders to create product reports presented to management

·       Lead the test and learn strategy and ongoing product performance optimization for the commercial application through creation of A/B and multivariate tests

·       Partner closely with engineering and design to continuously optimize the UI/UX of application experiences

·       Partner closely with marketing stakeholders to understand the business needs and provide ongoing updates on key work in progress

·       Act as an advocate for the customer for an optimal front-end experience, turning qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights

Minimum Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s Degree required

·       Digital product development experience

·       Highly organized, detail oriented with a proven ability to manage multiple work flows

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills

·       Ability to work with and analyze large amounts of data, extracting key themes and messages to drive decisions

·       Able to effectively adapt under changing conditions and prioritize initiatives in a fast-paced environment

·       Strong relationship management and problem solving skills

·       Understanding of Agile principles and experience working in Scrum

Preferred Qualifications

·     2+ years of digital product development experience

·       Familiarity with basic UX/UI principles and Responsive Web Design (RWD)

·       Experience in matrix organizations and cross-functional environments

Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
