This role involves both research and practical implementation, requiring a balance of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, develop, and fine-tune large-scale language models and other deep learning models for various applications. Conduct research and experiments to enhance the performance, efficiency, and scalability of both LLMs and other deep learning models. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate these models into a range of products and services. Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing. Manage, preprocess, and analyze large datasets for training, fine-tuning, and validating deep learning models. Implement best practices in model training, including managing overfitting, underfitting, and ensuring model generalizability across various domains. Fine-tune models for specific tasks or industries using targeted techniques and adapt models to new domains or applications. Develop and maintain tools and frameworks to streamline the model training, validation, and deployment process. Document methodologies, processes, and findings; effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Mentor junior team members and contribute to the team's collective knowledge and expertise in deep learning and AI. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: The preferred candidate will have a proven track record in harnessing large language models and deep learning techniques to drive innovation and efficiency in various applications. They should be highly skilled in utilizing advanced machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch, and adept in managing and analyzing large datasets. Experience in deploying models on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is crucial. The ideal applicant will demonstrate the ability to translate complex model outcomes into actionable business insights and strategies. They should be comfortable collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders, bringing a passion for uncovering novel solutions and opportunities hidden within complex data sets to enhance product and process performance. Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras. In-depth knowledge of natural language processing, computer vision, and other deep learning techniques. Experience with handling and preprocessing large datasets for deep learning applications. Solid understanding of machine learning principles, especially as they relate to deep learning, neural networks, and model optimization. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Proven experience in developing, training, fine-tuning, and deploying large language models and other deep learning models. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and experience with deploying models in a cloud environment. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently on complex tasks. Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development. Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams. A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques. Multiple years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models.
