AMD together we advance_ Silicon Systems Engineer THE ROLE: The AMD Core Technology Design Team is seeking an experienced System Engineer. As a System Engineer on our silicon design team, you will play a crucial role in the development and integration of complex ICs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and manufacturability. THE PERSON: You have strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills and are willing to take on challenging problems and come up with novel solutions. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Define and document system-level requirements based on customer needs and technical feasibility. Ensure alignment with overall product goals and specifications. Work with packaging engineers to develop and optimize IC packaging solutions that meet thermal, mechanical, and electrical requirements. Address challenges related to signal integrity and power delivery. Interface with production test engineers to develop test plans and methodologies. Ensure that test strategies are aligned with design specifications and production goals. Support the transition from design to high-volume manufacturing. Lead and support development of post-silicon validation hardware. Work with post-silicon validation teams on data collection and analysis. Maintain comprehensive documentation of system designs, requirements, test plans, and validation results. Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders. Identify and resolve system-level issues that arise during the design, validation, and production phases. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Provide mentoring to grow technical expertise of the team. Proactively drive continuous improvement for pre and post-silicon system engineering development processes. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  8+ years or equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in mixed-signal IC design flows Experience with SystemVerilog RTL development Experience with IC packaging, validation and production test methodologies. Understanding of design for test methods and coverage tracking for analog circuits Working knowledge of power and signal integrity and voltage regulator behavior Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal and customer facing interaction Proficient in debugging firmware and RTL code using simulation tools    ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:  Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering LOCATION:  Rochester, New York #LI-DD3 #LI-HYBRID At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.
