THE ROLE: This dynamic role drives product Quality & Reliability performance of key customers utilizing AMD Client APU/CPU products on their production lines. The directive of this role is to provide a differentiated quality experience, improve customer satisfaction, and to build customer confidence with a focus on AMD customer satisfaction across the Product Introduction & volume ramp phases. This is a high visibility role that acts as a key interface into the following organizations: AMD Customers, AMD Business unit, AMD Silicon & Package Reliability teams, AMD Engineering leadership, AMD Global Product Engineering & Operations organization, and AMD Sales Teams. THE PERSON: Ideal candidate is an experienced self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence other individuals and teams. Effective presentation skills & good negotiation skills. Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead customer interface for AMD Client APU/CPU product quality and reliability support. Play a critical role as the key contact for product quality and post-sales support for AMD customers, accurately represent customer’s requirement within AMD. Interact with AMD's key customer's procurement, quality, and manufacturing contacts to understand customer requirements and resolve quality and reliability issues related to the product qualification, ramp, and high-volume manufacturing. Provide AMD's cross functional team with customer priorities to ensure resources are aligned to support critical activities. Provide on-site support at customer Mfg, OSV lab or Customer Engineering joint lab to understand the latest status quo and collect the firsthand message back to AMD internal as needed. Provide OSV deployment support locally, OSV validation arrangement/meeting and subsequent OSV result update to customer related support. Manage the overall customer quality relationship and work closely with customers to fully understand their business from a quality perspective. Escalate potential issues to AMD's management to avoid customer disruption and ensure timely resolution. Program-manage cross functional technical teams to identify containment and determine root cause for Customer issues. Cross functional teams may consist of Design, Software, Platform, Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Failure Analysis, Customer Engineering, Sales Ops and Supplier Quality Engineering. Write and deliver customer facing presentations to communicate frequent technical status and deliver technical solution. Provides post sales technical expertise during the installation, implementation and maintenance of AMD’s products at the customer’s site. May be involved in implementing detailed customer installation requirements. Improve customer engineering service efficiency via metrics optimization and monitoring. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 10 or more years of Semiconductor Platform, Product Engineering, or Customer Quality Engineering Experience Preferred. Possess strong technical knowledge of computer products such as notebook and desktop systems. Lenovo/LCFC/AMD working experience preferred. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Materials Science or similar.
