AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: AMD is searching for talented and highly motivated Platform Engineers to join our team of developers pushing the boundaries of efficiency and performance to enable and optimize the software ecosystem for the next generation of GPU computational accelerators. As part of this team, you'll be playing a critical role in building a platform for enabling Continuous Integration, Testing and Delivery of AI Software Solutions on AMD platforms. This includes administering and delivering automation environments for CI/ CT/ CD workflows, data capture, presentation of functional and performance data, and administration of clusters. You will be collaborating with a team of strong Software and Platform Engineers. THE PERSON: The ideal candidate for this job would have proven experience in building complex CI/ CT/ CD platforms. The candidate would bring in an automation-first attitude along with measure/ monitor/ improve approach towards optimization of workflows. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work well within a team environment and with multiple stakeholders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Demonstrable expertise in the design, install, setup, operation, and maintenance of Continuous Integration systems in product delivery environments - Strong experience in Bash and Python Scripting. - Strong programming skills in Python and C++ - Strong experience in Git ecosystems (Gerrit/ GitHub/ GitLab) and implementing CI workflows with orchestration systems like Jenkins, GitHub Actions etc. - Strong exposure to packaging software (deb/rpm) and related technologies like CMake - Strong experience in building and using containers using Docker/ Podman - Ability to setup systems to monitor, capture and present data in the form of dashboards and reports with systems like Prometheus/ Grafana/ OpenSearch - Experience with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes is a big plus - Experience with unit testing frameworks like GTest/ CTest/ PyTest etc. is a big plus Strong experience in Ansible - Experience with software engineering methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Willingness to learn skills, tools, and methods to advance the quality, consistency, and timeliness of AMD software products. - Experience providing clear and timely communication related to status and other key aspects of the project to leadership team. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: - Experience in Full stack web development (JavaScript / Typescript, React/ VueJS, NodeJS) will be a definite plus. - Experience with open-source software development including collaboration with community maintainers is a big plus - Experience in developing distributed solutions using microservices will be a definite plus. - Experience in server less web development will be a definite plus - Experience in Firebase/ Supabase will be a definite plus - Experience in Linux system administration will be a definite plus - Experience with CI environments involving GPUs. - Experience in multiple phases of software development including development, testing and final release.
