AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: Come join our team working on the open-source SHARK, IREE, Turbine, and torch-mlir projects. In collaboration with our team working on ML Compilers, you will be responsible for directly integrating features to advance the developer and project infrastructure experience while working to support new product features and platforms. THE PERSON: The ideal candidate is a generalist software engineer who can go wide on a variety of system infrastructure and developer experience topics, working to make the team and collaborators more effective while also picking up key development tasks across the portfolio. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Exercise software engineering excellence in our open-source projects. Reduce barriers to collaboration and advancing the products by ensuring that developer processes, testing and release automation are well maintained and meeting the needs. Drive systematic testing and continuous integration activities in partnership with the rest of the team. Develop subject matter expertise across the portfolio and take a direct stake in porting and platform support. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Managing open-source development workflows, specifically relating to GitHub, GitHub actions, Docker, Python release management, and software packaging. Deep platform expertise in at least one operating system that we support. Experience debugging cross-stack issues and reducing user problems to actionable execution. Comfortable with a medium sized C++ and Python codebase.
