AMD together we advance_ Manager, SW Applications Engineer - Performance Optimization THE ROLE: Come join us to manage a team working on performance engineering and benchmarks for datacenter software applications. You will lead the team on system and software configurations, benchmark sizing and applicability to customer workloads. THE PERSON: Are you passionate about software development and optimizations to eke out the highest performance from enterprise-grade software applications for datacenter systems? Do you have a deep interest in the underlying algorithms and implementation details that affect the performance of monolithic applications or micro-service based architectures? Do you want to help ISVs refactor their software for the next-generation EPYC based server platforms? If you’re interested in deep analysis and optimizations, then, you’ll really enjoy this role! KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: You will lead the team on system and software configurations, benchmark sizing and applicability to customer workloads. You will review performance data and benchmark results to showcase and extract the best performance for these benchmarks and workloads for AMD EPYC based server platforms. You will get a chance to interface with standards bodies and consortia on benchmarks and publications, interact with partners and customers to present performance data on AMD EPYC platforms, compare vs. competition and demonstrate value-proposition across multiple business segments including but not limited to databases, analytics, financial services, media and entertainment, healthcare and retail. You’ll work with the ISV ecosystem and open-source communities to provide feedback on the performance of their software on scale-up and scale-out EPYC systems. Drive joint debug and co-development of features and performance improvements to keep pace with and take advantage of AMD’s hardware innovations in the CPU, GPU and accelerator product lines. You’ll work with a variety of enterprise ISV products as well as well-known open-source frameworks, applications and libraries.
