ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD.

At AMD, we believe technology can change lives for the better. It can heal us, entertain us, and make us more connected, productive, and understanding of the world around us. And we’re looking for talent who feel the same: people who want to leave the planet better than they found it, those who don’t shy away from humanity’s challenges but are determined to help solve them.

AMD is powering the next generation of supercomputing, high-performance computing, cloud, and AI. Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or creating go-to-market plans, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward.

THE ROLE:

We are looking for an SI/PI Analyst – Signal & Power Integrity Engineer to architect, analyze, and optimize high-speed electronic systems across PCB, Package, Module, and System-level designs. In this role, you will leverage first-principles engineering, simulation, measurement, and correlation to deliver robust, cost-effective, and high-performance solutions. You will work on challenging electrical problems involving memory interfaces, high-speed serial links, power delivery networks, package design, and advanced embedded computing platforms.

THE PERSON:

Engineers who are passionate about signals, power delivery, transmission lines, measurements, circuits, and system behavior.

We value individuals who combine deep technical expertise with humility, innovation, mentorship, and a relentless desire to elevate both technology and the people around them.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Architect robust Signal Integrity and Power Integrity solutions using strong engineering fundamentals and first-principles thinking.
  • Perform pre-layout and post-layout SI/PI analysis using time-domain and frequency-domain methodologies.
  • Balance Performance, Power, Cost, and Design Margin without unnecessary over-design.
  • Develop practical design guidelines and best practices that enable successful platform execution.
  • Correlate simulations with measurements and continuously improve modeling accuracy and methodology.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate, automate, simplify workflows, and improve engineering productivity.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory, transmission lines, return current behavior, crosstalk, S-parameters, jitter, channel analysis, and power delivery networks.
  • Ability to perform hand calculations, estimations, and engineering sanity checks before relying on simulations.
  • Deep passion for signals, waveforms, circuits, networks, measurements, and solving challenging SI/PI problems.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard Signal Integrity tools including:
    • Ansys
    • Sigrity
    • Keysight
    • Equivalent SI/PI simulation environments
  • Strong knowledge of high-speed interfaces including high-speed Memory and SERDES.
  • Challenges conventional approaches and continuously seeks better ways to improve design quality, prediction accuracy, and customer success.
  • We value engineers who reason from physics and first principles, using tools to validate their understanding—not to replace it.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
