AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: As a Product Development Engineer within the Functional Validation team, you will work as a technical, hands-on engineer responsible for post-silicon validation of Datacenter Server SoC features and the enablement of those features in silicon, BIOS, system firmware, and the OS on AMD next generation microprocessors. THE PERSON: A successful candidate is one who can perform in a role that requires accountability for accuracy, reliability and completeness of assignment results critical to the project’s success. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop validation test plans and content for AMD Smart Data Features (SDXI - Smart Data Accelerator Interface, and SDCI - Smart Data Cache Injection). These features accelerate memory to memory data movement. Debug and drive root-cause analysis for Smart Data related issues Develop post-silicon validation infrastructure as needed (software, hardware, automation environment, and lab setup) Test interactions between various SoC features using validation infrastructure Collaborate with cross-functional teams in developing tools to improve Smart Data validation and debug Implement test content that can run within AMD automation Work with cross-functional teams to improve post-silicon validation test strategy, methodology, and process Validate new product features, test conditions, test methodologies, and test contents during first silicon bring-up PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, shell script Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C+ Good understanding of Linux, Unix or Windows OS Familiarity with Linux kernel modules Computer architecture knowledge ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable disciplines.
