AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: As part of the AECG ASIC/Custom silicon team, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the most talented and passionate engineers in the world to create designs that push the envelope on performance, energy efficiency and scalability. We seek a passionate, collaborative leader with strong technical skills and the initiative to motivate an expert team. You will manage a Silicon Engineering team covering IP Design/Verification/PD/DFT etc. and innovate with internal teams and external partners to create the next generation products in cutting edge technologies. " THE PERSON: You are a leader, self-starter & a fast-learner who works effectively in a cross-matrixed, fast paced environment. You have proven experience leading others in technical and managerial capacity with a strong background in ASIC design development. You have worked on global and complex engineering programs with a collaborative mindset. You possess exceptional verbal, written, and communication skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. KEY RESPONSBILITIES: Manage and grow a high-performance silicon design engineering team, nurturing the talent Lead local team, meet schedule commitments and provide strong support to customers Collaborate with multi-functional leaders within and outside AMD to drive success  Facilitate & assist timely tactical decision-making for leadership on execution challenges & risk mitigation against unforeseen delays, project scope-creep, late discovery of bugs, etc. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 20+years of experience in a silicon engineering leader role managing teams involved in end-end ASIC development. Proven project management experience on complex silicon design projects enabling multiple customers with unique requirements in parallel. Highly organized, able to prioritize, and juggle multiple work streams to deliver on schedule. Team player with proven people management and leadership skills. Ability to foster a positive, innovative, execution-oriented team culture. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal, executive, and customer facing interactions. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills along with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to network, build relationships, consensus and drive effective decision-making across multiple sites, functions, and levels within the organization. Ability to flex responsibilities over the development lifecycle.
