THE ROLE: In this high-profile role, you will lead the implementation of highly visible commercial engineering programs and processes. You will drive engagement internally and with our largest customers, positioning AMD as the preferred commercial client solution provider throughout the product lifecycle including acquisition, deployment, service support and end of life. You will work across all Engineering and Business functions to meet overall program objectives. THE PERSON: We are seeking a candidate with an engineering background—ideally within the semiconductor industry—and substantial leadership experience in product development, particularly in commercial client platforms. The ideal candidate will have served as a Technical or Engineering Lead, Technical Program Manager, and key interface to business teams, with a strong ability to drive complex, multi-site, cross‑functional engineering programs. Experience in silicon bring-up and debug is a plus. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Defines, plans and drives projects and program plans based on management and senior technical guidance Manage all phases of initiatives including ideation, incubation, POC, and execution within AMD and with OEMs and end customers Aggregate ambiguous customer, OEM and AMD program level details, identify and lead the path forward Develop program schedule. Build, create and maintain a well-developed, managed and executed program plan. Identify risks and contingency plans Create best in class “out of the box” customer experience Drive resolution of customer blocking and end-user use case issues Competence working and effectively communicating with senior executives is a hard requirement REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Ability to lead teams, network, build relationships, and drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within the organization and with Customers Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly Highly organized, able to prioritize and juggle multiple work streams to tight deadlines Effective influencing skills to lead, motivate, and guide geographically distributed technical teams Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills Quick to adapt to dynamic business and technical requirements Engineering background is required Experience with Agile methodology, Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence and Excel is an asset ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. #LI-LB1 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
