THE ROLE: 

The AMD’s System Firmware Engineering Team is seeking partner to be responsible for delivering and developing system firmware solution for all AMD APU reference boards that enabling AMD customers and partners with APU SBIOS feature enabled he developed.

THE PERSON: 

  • Analytic ability to research technical issues and generate creative solutions
  • Must know or be willing to learn different firmware engineering groups across AMD
  • Ability to proactively possess a track record of delivering results and seeking innovative approaches to completing work
  • Good communication and leadership skills; with ability to lead SBIOS technical discussions in English

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • AMD customer reference platform SBIOS development and problem-solving.
  • AMD silicon firmware issues triage
  • Develop AMD platform BIOS features
  • Work and enable IBVs for the AMD firmware solution delivery on time
  • System Firmware issues/features management
  • Support AMD internal silicon bring-up

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Profound experience of BIOS development in notebook, desktop, and/or server/workstation systems, with strong knowledge in PC architecture, x86 processors, chipsets, DRAM architecture, PCI, PCI-X, PCI-Express, ACPI, multiprocessor systems, power management and system management
  • Expertise in C language programming and debugging tools is a must
  • Knowledge in UEFI programming and experience
  • Knowledge in Mobile BIOS experience is a plus

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering
