Systems Engineer II, Controls Fleet

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

• Solve complex problems and implement innovative solutions while adapting to changing priorities.
• Develop, manage, and optimize AWS CDK pipelines throughout the entire lifecycle, from design to decommissioning, with 5+ years of demonstrated professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in hardware troubleshooting, networking principles, and Windows administration.
• 5+ years of experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V, for managing and optimizing virtualized environments.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. The Controls Fleet Operations team services customers globally, requiring the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to different challenges.

In addition, the ideal candidate should have an expert understanding of Windows tools such as Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Hyper-V, Windows Failover Clustering, and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). Proficiency in PowerShell and windows automation are essential. This role demands a solid foundation in networking principles and hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and system building.

• AWS CDK Pipeline Management: Develop, manage, and maintain AWS CDK pipelines, ensuring seamless deployment and automation from initial design to production.
• Full Lifecycle CDK Pipeline Management: Lead the full lifecycle of CDK pipelines, including implementation, optimization, troubleshooting, and decommissioning, to support scalable infrastructure delivery.
• Hardware Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, with hands-on system-building experience.
• Networking and Windows Administration: Deep understanding of networking principles and Windows Administration tasks.
• Virtualization Technologies: Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V to manage and optimize virtualized environments.
• On-Call Rotation: Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation supporting global customers.
