Systems Development Engineer, Design Technologies, OPD Hardware

- 5+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
- 2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- Experience utilizing AWS cloud solutions in a DevOps environment
- Experience working in a high pace DevOps
- Experience with distributed systems at scale
- Knowledge of database systems and SQL
- Knowledge of a front-end language (Javascript, CSS, HTML, etc.)
- 2+ Years of experience managing one or more CAE/FEA tools such as Ansys, Abaqus, CST, LS-Dyna, Comsol, Matlab
- 2+ Years of experience managing one or more schedulers such as PBS/OpenPBS, Slurm, IBM LSF
- 2+ Years troubleshooting Simulation Job issues in AWS
- 2+ Years of managing licenses servers such as FlexLM based servers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market. As a Systems Development Engineer in Design Technologies team, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting the systems that Amazon's research, development, and design teams rely on to build the next generation of Amazon digital devices. You will coordinate with researchers and engineers to build and support the infrastructure they need. You will work with vendors to evaluate, purchase, deploy, and support mission-critical tools.
