Senior Software Development Engineer, Telemetry Engineering

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Experience building software using Rust

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Our team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Telemetry Engineering team as a technical leader.

Key job responsibilities
- In this role you will use your deep technical experience with software development to deliver projects end to end from design, implementation, and testing to launch.
- Your primary focus will be on leading design and development of systems that detect network disruptions and prevent network outages through data collection and observation.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate telemetry solutions across network infrastructure.
- As a senior engineer, you'll have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, and foster a culture of engineering and operational excellence.
- You will have the opportunity to participate in critical architectural decisions and help define the technical roadmap for the team, ensuring our telemetry systems remain robust and efficient.
