- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- 1+ years of SQL, ETL or Oracle experience
- 1+ years of processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources experience
- 1+ years of performing statistical analysis experience
- 1+ years of developing automated reporting experience
- 5+ years of as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Business Intelligence Analyst, or a related occupation experience
- 1+ years of using SQL, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), or Oracle experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. We are looking for an experienced, self-driven Senior Business Intelligence Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will work directly with data engineers, scientists, and software developers to build the analytical infrastructure that powers community intelligence at scale. You will own end-to-end development of BI solutions that translate complex AI/ML model outputs into actionable insights for stakeholders across Amazon.

You will work with novel data sources (survey data, media signals, NLP-derived sentiment, geospatial inputs), support AI-orchestrated workflows, and help build knowledge bases that enable self-service analytics. You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, partnering with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and building scalable solutions that evolve alongside our roadmap.

Key job responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL processes that integrate diverse data sources including survey responses, media intake pipelines, NLP model outputs, and operational metrics
- Build and optimize data models and reporting data marts
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across pipelines
- Conduct analyses including trend detection, anomaly identification, and geographic segmentation for community-related business outcomes
- Support model performance monitoring and evaluation metrics for production NLP and forecasting systems
- Partner with scientists and engineers to build analytical infrastructure supporting AI-orchestrated workflows and LLM-based systems
- Contribute to knowledge base development that enables scaled pattern detection across data sources
- Interface with partner teams to understand data needs and deliver integrated reporting
