- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or equivalent
- Knowledge of data analysis techniques
- Experience with remote sensing techniques including spectroscopic analysis and data mining
- Programming using Python scripting or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $86,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Key job responsibilities
* Analyze system performance data during testing on the ground and remotely in space
* Provide data-based feedback on hardware and software improvements
* Software development for data analysis using Python scripting or equivalent

A day in the life
As a Space Data Analyst, you will be focused on development of the Kuiper Optical Inter-satellite Link system hardware and software and its implementation in space as our constellation of satellites is manufactured, launched, and operated. You will use technical and analytical capabilities in combination with an ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. You should be comfortable with some degree of ambiguity and relish the idea of solving problems that haven't been solved at scale before. Along the way, you'll learn a lot, have fun and make a positive impact on hundreds of millions of people.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary team of top-notch optical, communications, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers and applied scientists working at a fast pace on solving complex technical problems and developing solutions that scale for constellation-wide operations.
