- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

The Selling Partner Communities (SPC) team’s north star vision is to ensure every selling partner is satisfied with their experience selling in Amazon store. We look holistically at the seller experience through the voice of the seller – both in conversations they have directly with Amazon, and each other, to identify opportunities to improve the selling partner (SP) experience.
We accomplish this vision by building experiences to foster SP engagement and participation. We listen to SP feedback and discussions about Amazon and advocate for improving the experience through providing internal teams with insights and recommended actions. We empower SPs to succeed in our stores with effective, relevant, and timely communication, leveraging intuitive user interfaces, APIs, ML, and GenAI technology to simplify complex narratives into easily digestible insights that enable selling partners to quickly capitalize on growth opportunities and optimize their business performance.
As a Software Development Manager for this cross-functional team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and driving the technical strategy, experimentation, and execution of integrated and scalable solutions for the Communities space, as we re-invent the experience for SPs across Forums, News and beyond. If you are passionate about leading a high-performance team, whose tech stack includes ML, back-end, and front-end, then this role is for you! In this role, you will heavily influence our product roadmap and strategy and collaborate with senior engineering and product leaders to define and deliver on our long-term vision. You will have end-to-end ownership of a products and tools that help millions of SPs to grow and manage their business in our store.

* Lead product delivery, managing complex projects with significant business impact and building strategic relationships with product, tech and science partners.

* Balance technical leadership with business acumen to make strategic decisions about technology choices and architectural improvements.

The Selling Partner Communities (SPC) organization builds lasting connections with and among our selling partners. We help drive their success, working together to ensure that Amazon’s stores are a great place for our SPs to build and maintain thriving businesses. Our vision is to be the most Seller-centric online global community, creating destinations for knowledge, news, inspiration, and celebration. We are dedicated to helping SPs develop their full potential and achieve success in our Amazon store. We accomplish this vision with the following four objectives:
1) Build experiences designed to provide sellers opportunities to connect directly with Amazon and/or other SPs, thus building a valuable and inclusive community of Amazon SPs.
2) Proactively communicate and actively engage in multi-directional channels between SPs and Amazon at scale.
3) Develop and centralize communication and messaging across Amazon to ensure sellers are receiving consistent, accurate information on the topics that matter most to them.
4) Understand and measure SP's perceptions of, and being internal advocates to improve, their experience selling in Amazon stores.
