Software Development Manager, Salesforce Success Central, Professional Services

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
- Experience with Salesforce or related third party SaaS application development platform.
- 5+ years building or leading engineering teams within the Salesforce ecosystem
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. The Professional Services Team, within SFSC, is looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead and build Salesforce + AWS solutions for internal Amazon teams. You will own the tools and products we deliver to streamline our professional services offering to internal teams and our external consulting partners. You will partner with Salesforce developers, software engineers, product managers, external consulting partners and our customers to deliver enterprise grade Salesforce solutions to teams across Amazon.

Key job responsibilities
• Hire, motivate, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team, providing them with appropriate opportunities to succeed in their career objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work effectively with product managers and software engineers on other Commerce Platform teams to ensure the successful delivery of features.
• Ensure timely execution of key organizational automation goals and customer launches by removing blockers and reducing execution risks.
• Work closely with the leadership team to provide input on WPR, OP1, roadmaps, and strategic discussions.
• Be deeply involved with engineers to architect and develop scalable technical designs and approaches.
• Design and maintain secure operational excellence to reduce lead times and maintain the operations of critical services.
• Clearly communicate technical decisions and progress to both technical and non-technical audiences.
