- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Lead a team that innovates and creates new frameworks and solutions at the Operating System (OS) level of the Fire TV devices. Obsess about millions of customers by deploying performant and scalable solutions written in Rust and C++.
The Fire TV System Engineering group is looking for a manager for the Architecture Solutions team, which owns a roadmap of core deliverables that lay the foundation for our device software. The team works on Linux based streaming media devices and TVs and has a mission to improve the performance of the devices and support the growth of Fire TV.
Key job responsibilities
Lead day-2-day development work
Make priority calls and trade-offs
Own the 3-year technical roadmap, define and drive goals
Partner with Product Management and key internal stakeholders
