Description
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
- Exceptional problem solving ability

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. The requirement is for someone who can rigorously use state-of-the-art methods and technologies in their area of specialization. The successful candidate will (1) contribute to existing development efforts already underway by infusing their deep knowledge of their field and technical prowess, (2) identify new and promising uses of technologies that address novel problems in Promotions, and (3) connect with other teams throughout Amazon to ensure that we benefit from innovations and progress across the company.
